Hi, My name is Lindsey.  I am 8 years old.  I am a flyer on one of Maryland's top All-star Cheer & Dance programs. This year I am also on the youth Pom team.  I started cheering when I was 4 years old and joined competitive cheerleading over two years ago.  I love flying. I am also a cheerleader for Berkeley County Midget League Little Rams.   My favorite stunts are; Heel Stretches, Libs, Show-n-Goes, Baskets, and twist cradles. I am working everyday on my flexibility to pull off a bow and arrow, and needles, and full scales. My goal this year is to complete  double downs.
I take gymnastics several times a week with my team and also through private lessons with Amber Lanham.    I have a standing back handspring,  round-off back handspring multiples, and I am working on my standing tuck, and round-off handspring tuck.    I am known for making facials and putting my own personal attitude into all my cheer routines.

My local high school is the Martinsburg Bulldogs.  Go ahead and mark my name down as a cheerleader when I get old enough.  I can't wait to wear the orange and black.  Our football team is awesome.  We have been to the play-offs for at least the past 3 years.  We made it to the finals in 2001 when my cousin Steve Weatherholtz rushed for over 1700 yards and scored 23 touchdowns...sadly we lost to Parkersburg.  Our basketball program and our band program is known to be one of the best across the state.  We are a proud group of fans.  5 MORE YEARS!!!!!!

I am in my third season with Hagerstown Heat All-Stars.  I have been a flyer all three years.  Competitive Cheerleading is different in many ways than High School and Recreation.  Although some high schools do compete...All-Star squads do not cheer for a team.  They do not represent a certain school or county.  All-stars have a whole different set of rules than high school and youth cheerleading.  We often can do things they are not allowed to do.  We travel to both local and national competitions throughout the competition season.  Hagerstown Heat is a big family.  There are over 100 girls in the organization right now.  I think Heat is very different than other all-star squads because they do not require try outs.  They work with everyone.  Heat has won too many awards for me to put on my site.  But you can visit our gym and count them for yourself.  If your daughter is serious about cheerleading then bring her to the world of competitive cheerleading. Competitive cheerleading is the FASTEST GROWING SPORT IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW.  It is also a doorway for college scholarships, and much more.

Hagerstown Heat is having an open house September 5th from 6-9 p.m.  They will be offering free instruction, demonstrations, refreshements, and much more.  Take 81 N to exit 2 in Maryland (Williamsport) turn left off the exit.  Go to the first light.  Right past McDonalds and turn right.  4-Star Athletic Complex is located on the left hand side.  It is about a 15 minute drive from most locations in Martinsburg/Inwood.   Please email our coach for more details.  hagheatallstars01@aol.com

My hobbies include cheering, dancing, gymnastics, excerising, swimming, and shopping with my cheer friends.  I have several inspirations in my life..they are:  My mommy who always pushes me to do my best.  My aunt who proved you don't have to be skinny to be an excellent cheerleader and now coach.  My brother who is one of the best looking boys in the world.  Last but not least..my coaches.
They have taught me, life is not about winning, it is about doing your best and when you do that..winning comes naturally.

One more thing, Heat is going to bust out in 2003-2004..I think everyone is going to stand up and reconize...We have a new look & a new attitude!

Thank you Miss Anna, John, and Kevin for pushing us to be the best tumblers we can be.  Also a special shout-out to Amber who is my private tumbling coach.

Anna,

On behalf of my daughter we would like to thank you for everything that you have done for us and 100's of kids in the area.  Not many coaches go to the length that you go to to ensure that these children are happy.  Thank you, and may God bless you as you have blessed our children.

Amber Lanham

This is my private tumbling coach Amber Lanham.  Amber goes to Musselman High School and is a member of Cheer Universe All-Stars out of Charlestown Wv.  She is a flyer for the Senior Squad.  Amber has taught private classes for a few years.  I have been taking classes with her for one month.  Even though she pushes me hard, and I usally fall asleep on the way home from her classes I love her to death.  Amber charges $20 an hour to do private lessons and she does them in her gym in Charlestown.  Her email is cheerstar123@yahoo.com if you are interested in taking classes.  She will work around your schedule.
